G.S HVP-Gatagara Nyanza, a place where we provide care and support for children with disabilities in the Nyanza district and across Rwanda. Our aim is to ensure that every child with a disability has access to the specialized care and services they need to thrive. Depending on the nature of their disability, we will guide them to the appropriate specialized institution within our facility or elsewhere in Rwanda. Our team of trained professionals is committed to providing the best possible care and support to each child, empowering them to achieve their full potential and live happy, fulfilling lives. HVP GATAGARA TSS

HVP Gatagara TSS School has been offering vocational training since 2015, imparting practical skills in fashion design (such as tailoring), manufacturing technology (like welding), and hairdressing/beautification. In total, 839 students have been trained, including 250 with disabilities to promote inclusion. Currently, the school has 200 students, and aims to increase this number to 300 in the next academic year. The school's commitment to providing practical, hands-on skills to a diverse student body has made it a valuable resource for the local community, particularly for those who may face barriers to traditional education or employment opportunities.

HVP GATAGARA-RWAMAGANA

Home de la Vierge des Pauvres (HVP) Gatagara - Rwamagana is a center that provides special primary and secondary education for children with visual impairment. It is located 50 km east of Kigali and is recognized by the government for its Fast Track 9 Years Basic Education (FT9YBE) program for blind and partially sighted children. HVP Gatagara also offers integrated education for a small number of children with physical disabilities. Both primary and secondary schools follow the official government programme, MINEDUC. The center has a care coordinator who oversees the implementation of individual action plans and coordinates specialist ophthalmic treatment for students with visual impairment. HVP Gatagara is a valuable resource for children with disabilities in the region, helping to provide them with the education and support they need to reach their full potential.
